Slick & Rose :: Black Girls Rock Too

“Black girls rock too” sats Rose, one half of the duo Slick & Rose. And it’s true. Once you have witnessed these two women rock the stage, you can’t deny it. As part of the Soul Of Atlanta edition they showed off their talents in Amsterdam. Slick & Rose are no strangers in the industry as they have released their debut album “Objects in the Mirror” in 2003 and jumped on the Okayplayer tour with Rahzel and the Jazzyfatnastees in Japan, that same year. The two hip hop soulsters talk about their music and their second album “Ambitious Intellectuals”.

Moh Green :: Music for the Smokers

Mighty Moh Green as he calls himself, hailing from Atlanta and performing in Amsterdam as well as part of the Soul Of Atlanta edition. Together with rapper L.T. who joins him for his show in Amsterdam, he explains his music and talks about his company Greenous which contains visual art, entertainment and music.

Rahbi :: Embrace Yourself

In the first edition of “Soul Of..”, which brought Atlanta to Amsterdam, I got introduced to Rahbi. A wonderful free & loving spirit that puts his focus on spreading the message of embracing who you are. Through himself and through his music. Although his music is new to me, he definitely is no stranger in the industry. He has collaborated with artists such as Erykah Badu, Janelle Monae and Lauryn Hill to name a few. His art is definitely one that I feel necessary to spread. Get to know Rahbi!
